Meet the Comprehensive Team

Comprehensive Women's Healthcare does more than deliver babies. While we enjoy long-term relationships with women and their families that often start in pregnancy and birth, we’re here to meet your needs at all stages of life, from teen care through menopause and beyond.

Best Providers of Gynecological Healthcare in AZ

Comprehensive Women's Healthcare provides the most extensive services available today in this important area of women's health. But it's not just about the services offered; it's about the quality of our providers. Our Physicians, Surgeons, and Nurse Practitioners are among the very best providers of gynecological healthcare in Arizona.

Each year our providers deliver thousands of babies, and we work hard to ensure every one of them gets the best possible start. The OB/GYNs and Certified Nurse Practitioners of Comprehensive Wome who practice obstetrics — the branch of medicine and surgery relating to childbirth — do so because they feel strongly that every mother and child deserve the best in obstetrical care. They have chosen to specialize in obstetrics and appreciate the wonder of the process with each patient.

Eric S. Hazelrigg, MD, F.A.C.O.G.

Eric Hazelrigg

After moving to the Phoenix area in 1990 from Los Angeles, Dr. Hazelrigg and his wife Sandra decided to settle in the east valley. He joined a private practice, which rapidly evolved into a much larger group. That environment did not completely meet the needs of his patients.

In 2000, Dr. Hazelrigg co-founded Comprehensive Women's Healthcare with the intention of returning to the small, personal practice that would best serve their patients. Dr. Hazelrigg and his wife Sandra have four children, two of whom they have adopted from the Amazon region of Brazil. He is committed to respecting human life in every stage and considers it a privilege to be involved in such a happy field as Obstetrics and Gynecology. Helping to bring a healthy baby into a loving family is one of the greatest joys in his life.

Susan Kudlinski

Dr. Kudlinski attended medical school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, where she graduated with distinction in obstetrics and gynecology. As a chief resident at the same institution, the Society of Laporoendoscopic Surgeons presented her with the resident achievement award. Operative laparoscopy, such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, continues to be a focus of her career. She is also a trained and experienced robotic surgeon.

After moving to sunny Arizona in 1997 to be closer to family, Dr. Kudlinski was an associate in a very large obstetrical practice. Seeking a smaller, more personal setting for providing state-of-the-art obstetrical and gynecologic care, Dr. Kudlinski co-founded Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare in 2000.

She is proud to offer complete obstetrical and gynecologic care encompassing the entire spectrum of a woman’s life in a compassionate and caring environment.

Dr. Kudlinski and her husband, Jim, live in Gilbert and have three children.

Sheetal Kale, MD, F.A.C.O.G.

Sheetal Kale

I have been practicing women’s health for 13 years. I believe all women should have easy access to their healthcare needs at any stage of life. I try my best to understand the unique situation my patients may be in through careful listening. I help my patients understand their diagnoses and treatment options by simplifying the science behind their problems.

This empowers my patients to make their own informed choices based on their priorities with the foundation of well-founded knowledge. I thoroughly enjoy my job, whether it is helping someone with their pregnancy, conceiving, menstrual problems, prevention of pregnancy, perimenopause/menopause, hormone problems, or adolescence problems, to name a few. I am a board-certified minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic surgeon for performing hysterectomies and other such surgeries.

My passion for OB/GYN comes from my strong passion for Obstetrics, Gynecology, Surgery, and Primary care. With my training and experience, I have been able to stay specialized in traditional surgeries as well as Advanced laparoscopic and Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries. With a blend of sound clinical research-based medicine and a sound, safe surgical approach, I will continue to help women in all stages of their lives.

I grew up under the umbrella of a physician mom and an Engineer dad in Mumbai, India. I had always shown a keen interest in biological sciences. So it was no surprise to my parents when I chose to practice Medicine. After finishing Medical schooling at Grant Medical College, University of Mumbai, I married my husband, Ashish, and soon thereafter made Houston, TX, our new home. We moved to snow country, Rochester, NY, for my residency training in OB/GYN. After graduating, we were looking to move to a warmer area, which brought us to Phoenix, Arizona! We have two boys, Aaroosh and Vihaan, who are the stars of our life! We enjoy traveling, hiking, and playing tennis with them. I hope to see you soon!

Craig L. Mechelke, DO, FACOOG

Cyndy Churgin

Dr. Mechelke moved to the East Valley in 1980 after completing one year of internship and four years of residency in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington, Michigan.

For the past 42 years he has delivered over 7000 babies in the East Valley and continues to enjoy a full OB-GYN practice that not only includes deliveries but a range of gynecologic surgery from abdominal, laparoscopic, and vaginal hysterectomies to vaginal reconstruction and urinary incontinence procedures.

As the years have gone by, Dr Mechelke recognizes that women are living longer and want to stay as healthy as possible, mentally, physically, and hormonally. He has found that the use of bio-identical hormonal pellets can aid women with the hot flashes, insomnia, lack of energy and decreased sexual drive.

Dr. Mechelke also has an interest in a condition called “interstitial cystitis” that affects thousands of women in the United States with symptoms of urinary urgency, frequency, pelvic pain with or without intercourse. Once a diagnosis is established it is simple to treat.

He is proud to have offered the women of the East Valley over four decades of complete obstetrical and gynecologic care.

Dr. Mechelke and his wife Teri live in Gilbert and have three children and five grand-children.

Cyndy Churgin

Cyndy Churgin is from Montreal, Canada. I moved to AZ in 1980 to attend

school in a dual program for my FNP and PA degrees. I’ve been in practice

since 1981. In 1989 I returned to school, to complete a program which combined both Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwife.

I am divorced and happily single. I have two grown kids, my daughter Sarah is a Zoo Vet, and my son Dan is a Retinal surgeon here in Phoenix. I have practiced solely gynecology since 2001. I now have several unique areas of special interest, and of course, also practice general office based GYN.

These include menopause management, including hormone replacement and hormone pellet insertion; genetic cancer screening and management of positive hereditary gene patients; pediatric and adolescent GYN; Transgender hormone management (both males and females); LGBT-inclusive practice; vulvar disease, including chronic vulvar pain; abnormal Pap smear management and colposcopy; post-menopausal bleeding and abnormal vaginal bleeding issues; STI testing and treatment; sexual issues, painful sex,

low libido; IC (Interstitial cystitis); all contraceptive options, including IUDs and Nexplanon; and recurrent vaginal infections.

I teach PA students at AT Still University (both in the classroom and clinically) and frequently have a PA student with me in the office. I am very sensitive to your needs, and if there is ever a time that you do not want to have a student in the room, it is always okay to say so.
